Get a Peek Into What Products a Pro Makeup Artist Always Carries in Their Makeup Bag!

Hello beauty fans! I have been a professional makeup artist for years now and a common question I always get asked is what’s in my makeup bag; so today we are going to go over some of my favorites that I can’t live without! If you are ready to find out what a MAC girl has in her makeup bag (little secret-it’s not all MAC!) grab a drink, settle in and let’s talk beauty!

My actual makeup bag is a light pink bag that says Lipstick and Luxury by Time LA. Ashley Wagner used to be a MAC artist and her line of clothing, accessories, and home décor is all makeup themed and so awesome! I had the pleasure of meeting her at IMATS this year and she was so sweet and she has amazing products, so check her out if you haven’t already!

The products in my makeup bag vary with each look I am wearing, especially lipsticks and eye shadows. However, the most common things I always have in my bag are what I have listed below!

Products in my makeup bag:

Eyeliner

I usually carry two different types of liquid eyeliners with me depending on the look I have going for the day. I personally prefer liquid over gel liners.

Lancôme Art Liner in the Shade Noir-
When I am just doing regular liner and no wing Lancôme liquid liner is my must have! It is as black as you can get and goes on smooth, I have been using this one since high school!

NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker-
When doing a wing I like to use the NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker. It has a nice pointed felt tip which gives perfect precision for wings and it’s only $9.99. Bonus: It has great staying power! I actually used this liner for a killer doll Halloween look this year and it stayed put all night!

Lash Glue

I always carry an extra tube of lash glue with me, those pesky falsies can pop off on both the inner and outer corner so I always like to bring extra glue just in case. I have allergies to latex so I use the Duo latex free glue in black. It comes in a cylinder tube with a little wand, so application is really easy!

Eye Shadows

I always carry my custom made MAC Quad with the shades Soft Brown, Brown Script, Saddle, and Embark. These are my go-to shades for crease blending and outer v application. I always switch up the lid colors so whatever look I am wearing on a particular day I will throw those into my bag too.

Brows

I absolutely love Colour Pop’s Brow Pot in the shade Black N’ Brown. It goes on smooth and they have a wide range of colors, and it’s only $6!

Mascara

Any drugstore mascara, I like Maybelline the most.

Blush

What blush I carry usually depends on what eye look I am wearing, but usually I carry with me:
MAC- Cantaloupe, Melba, and Coppertone
Makeup Geek- Spellbound.

Powders

MAC- Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in the shade light plus
Armani- Luminous Silk Compact in the shade 4.5
