How amazing! You want to travel to Spain? Spain has a very diverse fashion sense and culture. Whether you’re roaming the streets of Barcelona or Seville, you’re guaranteed a completely different look with the locals in each part of this incredible country. Of course, any fashionista wouldn’t dare looking like a tourist when traveling abroad.

In Southern Spain, the fashion culture is definitely inspired by the classic look. Think, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren’s timeless taste. The locals dress with that in mind. Consider the button down/polo and depending on the weather a sweater on top. Locals in this part of the country enjoy the leggings as much as anyone or a skinny jean. The shoes can be anything from a tall boot to an oxford, but definitely keeping them neutral is essential.

In Central Spain i.e. Madrid, you’re seeing more of a “hipster” vibe with the locals that is similar to New York. This look is extremely popular right now, but finding the proper vintage look is all about piecing well-balanced vintage-like items from local boutiques and putting together the outfit. Be original and don’t be afraid to take fashion risks. A simple black combat boot or Panama Jack work boot can work perfectly with any outfit combination.

In Barcelona, be ready to channel your inner Blair Waldorf. In this city, there’s more of a Parisian vibe with the clothing being more chic and put together, i.e. a blazer versus a jean jacket and heels over tennis shoes. Locals rarely step out in t-shirts and jeans. The Barcelona touch is definitely the tights. Women definitely show their personality having their colored tights and black pumps. Wearing a pair of dressy knit shorts with colored tights is a plus in this part of the country.
If you’re deciding to travel to one part or the entire country, breathe in the fashion and culture in style. Good luck on your travels!
