Eyes are one of the most intimate features of a woman’s body. The eyes can tell a lot about her as a person, so it’s important to make sure they are as enticing as she is beautiful. The one thing to remember, however, is that not all eyes are the same. For the most alluring gaze, every woman should make sure to tailor her makeup according to the shape of her eyes. Check out these tricks that will lure everyone in for another look:
1. Almond
Almond-shaped eyes are often the most desirable because they are the most symmetrical. Makeup tricks aren’t needed to transform the shape of the eye, but rather highlight the given features. Simply following the contour of the eyes with ticker, darker liner can work wonders – winged eyeliner works well, too! Most women with almond eyes don’t have super long lashes, so make sure to apply mascara. Leaving off eyeliner on the bottom lid, however, will actually make the eyes pop!
2. Round
Round eyes stand out most when eyeliner is applied from the inside to the outside, ending with a small cat eye. A light shadow should be used right under the brow and on the inner corners. Apply a medium shade right above the lid and a dark shade near the eye creases in order to emphasize contrast in the eyes. Ta-da!
3. Downturned
Downturned eyes usually need to go a bit heavier on the makeup in order to make the eyes appear as if they are more upturned. Use a light shadow on the inner corners of the eyes and gradually go bolder toward the outside of the eyes. As for eyeliner, make sure to form a 45-degree angle at the end of the eye to create an effect similar to that of the cat eye. In addition, apply heavy mascara and use an eyelash curler to lift the lashes even higher. Just like that the eyes will have a whole new form!
4. Monolid
Monolid eyes lack a crease between the eyes and the brow. Due to this, it’s important to apply liner and shadow that releases the eyes to a more open shape. Apply a softer shadow on the inside corners and work up and out to the center of the lid. Next, use a darker shadow to work up and in just to the center of the lid in order to create a round form. As for the eyeliner, keep it relatively thin with a little more thickness toward the outside of the eye. With these tricks, that monolid didn’t stand a chance!
Deep Set
Deep-set eyes can sometimes hide their beauty from the rest of the world. In order to make them stand out, the first step is covering up dark circles under the eyes. Then use a light shadow and cover the entire lid – make sure to get those inner corners, too! Use a darker shadow on the outside corners of the eyes in order to make them stand out and not sink in. Dark shadow gives the eyes extra volume, but don’t add too much or else they will be overpowered. Those deep-set eyes will never have looked better!
