“Glee” star Naya Rivera married actor Ryan Dorsey on Saturday, July 19, the date she set to marry rapper Big Sean, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with the presence of only close family members.
“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife,” the newlywed told PEOPLE. “Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.”
The 27-year-old actress made the marriage official by changing her Twitter and Instagram account names to “Naya Rivera Dorsey.”
Rivera posted several photos on Instagram with her just-married husband Dorsey. It seems like the couple is having fun.
An unnamed source told E! News that the actress tells everyone that she is in love, and said the news was surprising to close friends of Rivera as well.
“I think she wants to do something positive after all the ugly problems with Big Sean and with Glee,” the source said, referring to the broken engagement and changed to recurring role on the Fox series. “To show everyone she is not down for the count.”
Rivera and Dorsey have known each other for four years, but they stayed as friends. The romantic relationship began after Rivera’s engagement with Big Sean had ended in April.
