Despite having only half the amount of episodes in the season, Glee will feature five new McKinley students.
Originally, it was rumored that the last season would be filmed solely in New York, to focus on all the graduates who conveniently went to the same state, and almost all live together.

Ryan Murphy gave TVLine the names and a brief description of the characters.
There is Roderick, who is the “show’s new underdog”, Spencer, a football star who’s gay but his strength intimidates people so they never mess with him, Jane, a Warbler Wannabe, and Mason and Madison, cheer leading twins, who are “extremely weird.”
Murphy explained the switch back to McKinley saying, “We’re working on the last season now, and it really feels like it’s getting back to its roots, which I love. I’m sort of reinvigorated about it.”
Murphy went on to say that the goal of season six is to bring the show back to its “roots.” As was done in the past, Glee will not be airing with the other popular Fox shows in Fall 2014.
The lineup was released, and Glee was said to be airing in early 2015 instead. Another change being made to the show, is that instead of having 22 episodes to wrap up the show, it will only have 13.
