Harry Potter Franchise Might Not Be Over: Fan’s Getting Three E-books!

Just weeks ago, the Harry Potter franchise was announced by J.K. Rowling to be officially over after the success and possible selling of her play “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child” rights. Though last Wednesday Harry Potter fans were thrilled to see on the fan site Pottermore.com that the author plans to release three new e-books in the Happy Potter series. The three e-books are scheduled to hit online retail book sites on September 6th 2016. The small books are based in the Happy Potter world, that might include some Pottermore archive stories and some original writing from J.K. Rowling herself.

The novels are titled, “Hogwarts:An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide”, “Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Political and Pesky Poltergeists”, and lastly “Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship, and Dangerous Hobbies”. The Cover art for all three e-books were done by Mina and Eduardo Lima (MinaLima), who was a part of the Harry Potter artwork team from the film franchise.

“Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide” is set provide more information about Hogwarts, the school’s infamous ghosts/poltergeists, and lastly a bit about the sorting hat process. The e-book is meant to explain what happens when the Hat can’t decide which house (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin) they should be placed in.

“Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Political, and Pesky Poltergeists” will feature new information about Professor Horace Slughorn. The backstory and informational e-book was written by J.K. Rowling herself. The book is also going to explore the horrific conditions and nature of the Azkaban prison.

The last story “Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship, and Dangerous Hobbies” will reintroduce and tell new stories of past Hogwarts teachers like Remus Lupin and Minerva McGonagall. The book will also elude on Professor McGonagall’s part in the second wizarding war (which was depicted in the last four books of the Harry Potter novels).

The e-books are set to sell for $3 dollars each and are available for pre-sale purchase.
