Hedi Slimane to Showcase Photos in Paris Exhibition

Hedi Slimane, current creative director for Saint Laurent Paris and photographic genius, is planning a photo exhibition. It is planned to be shown in Paris at the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation. The exhibition will be shown from September 18, just before the start of Paris Fashion Week, and will last until January 11,2015.

Slimane has quite an impressive resume in the fashion world. He has worked as a fashion consultant at Louis Vuitton. He then became the creative director for the menswear line of Christian Dior, Dior Homme for seven years. He has also worked as a designer at Yves Saint Laurent, where he is now the creative director.

Hedi Slimane has showcased photography exhibits in New York, Los Angeles, Brussels, Spain, Amsterdam, Berlin, Tokyo and Paris.

The showcase, titled, “Hedi Slimane: Sonic,” will feature many photos and videos documenting the music scene in London. Included in the exhibition are photos of Lou Reed and Amy Whinehouse, pictures of Keith Richards and Brian Wilson. As well as a video installation comparing the London music scene from 2003-2007 to that of California from 2007 to now.
