Hermès has announced Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski will be the successor of their artistic director of women’s ready-to-wear position. The news followed the departure of their previous artistic director, Christophe Lemaire. It has been revealed he left the French renown brand after four years in order to focus on his own label full-time.
Vanhee-Cybulski has quite an impressive résumé; she has worked with the Olsen sisters as The Row’s design director. Before that, she had positions as a senior designer at Celine and Maison Martin Margiela, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
Axel Dumas, who is the chief executive officer at Hermès, stated, “We welcome the arrival of Nadège. Her talent and her creative track record will be great assets in the continued development of women’s ready-to-wear.”
Her first collection for the French luxury brand, according to Business of Fashion, will be revealed at the Autumn/Winter 2015 season.
