Icebreaker Names Rob Fyfe New CEO

Icebreaker, a New Zealand merino wool outdoor clothing brand, has named Rob Fyfe as the new CEO. Having experience as the previous CEO of Air New Zealand and serving as Icebreaker’s executive board chairman for the past nine months, Fyfe fixes to be in charge once again.

Sources say Fyfe and company owner Jeremy Moon will work together in order to form a new company structure that has a more global focus. As competition knocks on his front door step, Moon appointed Fyfe into the new position given his exceptional proficiencies and relentless passion for his work.

“It was a big decision for me to hand over our business to another CEO, but I’ve seen Rob’s passion for what we are building at Icebreaker and I really admire his skills, especially with people.  In the end, it was easy for me to put my total trust in Rob,” said Moon.

Fyfe left Air New Zealand in 2012, but his success continues to ring on after his advertising and branding skills crowned him as the company’s saving grace, relinquishing its debt and monetary troubles. Icebreaker has high hopes for Fyfe to bring triumph to its Wellington headquarters as well.

The big position change is schedule to take place on Jun. 2.
