J. Crew recently  announced that it would be opening its fourth store in the city this coming September. It will be located in Sloane Square and the location is 4,500 square feet.

True to its brand, the store will have it’s well known womenswear, as well as accessories, menswear, and footwear collections, as reported by British Vogue.

J. Crew will be celebrating their grand opening with Buglife, a charity for conserving invertebrates. To entice buyers and expand on their collaboration, the London location will have walls covered in Myosotis, Echinacea and Lavandula – all attractants of bees and other pollinating bugs, to encourage more pollination, which is a vital natural process that has been decreasing all over the world due to unknown causes.

Millart Drexler, the chairman and Chief Executive officer of J. Crew, told the public that London was a chosen location because of the fact that, “It feels like New York. In fact, it’s much more similar to New York than most of America is to New York. It’s a big city with lots of fashion, and it’s important for us to be here.”

While enthusiasm is high, Drexler wonders if the, “sale mentality is as prevalent here as it is in the U.S.”

Bring it on, London!
