The call for greater inclusivity in the fashion world is growing louder day by day. Numerous brands have already begun to listen, as designers and companies begin to realize how exactly they have been excluding people of different bodies. The newest project to attempting to address this issue is Jason Wu’s collaboration with Eloquii.

The designer has essentially made a huge name for himself in the fashion world within the last decade. After all, he made a major debut when he was asked to design the inauguration gown for Michelle Obama back in 2008. He repeated this collaboration when he once again designed for the FLOTUS, this time for one of her final gown to be worn during the Obama presidency.

He has also collaborated with Target on a bestselling collection and is a well-known favorite with supermodel Karlie Kloss.

The designer is known for his elegant, sleek, and classically feminine silhouettes. While neither Wu nor Eloquii has released any sort of lookbook or image of the collection, Wu has released a simple black and white sketch. Judging by the sleek black dress worn by the figurine, it seems that this collection will follow Wu’s iconic and usual style.

Wu’s team has said, “The opportunity to innovate together and deliver an elevated product at an approachable price point will make this a truly original collaboration.”

Eloquii is a brand that specifically caters to women who are a size 14-28. This is not the first notable collaboration that the brand has ever done, as they have done a bridal collection with Stone Fox Bride, a recurring collaboration with Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James, and a capsule collection with Teresa Maccaponi Missoni.

With such reputations, it seems that the two of them have their work cut out for them.
