Leave it to Jean Paul Gaultier to add a whole bunch of random style elements to his couture collection.

In his Fall/Winter 2015 couture collection you’ll find (don’t hold your breath) Victorian style gowns, lace, mesh, sailor hats, gold detail, 40’s styled over coats, furs, and some whimsical headpieces. The headpieces were out of this world, but compared to the clothes, one can hardly say they stole the show. Rest assured stripes were still incorporated, so the nautical-ness we love about Gaultier was still there.

The show was definitely one to talk about, however the collection is hard to describe in words. The models walked the runway to the sound track of bagpipes… yes, bagpipes.

While the whole show was a spectacle that truly embraced the art of fashion, the final look takes the cake. The huge ballgown was worn by Anna Cleveland. She and Gaultier danced down the runway to Village People’s “In the Navy” while holding hands.

This marks Gaultier’s 40th year as fashion designer.
