The 50-year-old actress addressed continuing rumors that she has had plastic surgery in a long Instagram post, calling the speculation “subtly vicious” abuse. While Beckinsale strongly denied ever getting plastic surgery, she did reveal that she suffers from health-related anxieties.
“I despise discussing this because I despise contributing to this discourse, but I’m doing it because persistent bullying of any form has a devastating effect,” Beckinsale started in her piece, which featured clips from both her twenties and this year. There might be a twenty-year gap, or perhaps more, between these videos. By the way, this has been going on since I was around 30 years old; if I share anything, people accuse me of having undergone cosmetic surgery, using Botox or fillers, or being obsessed with appearing younger; it’s an extremely annoying and subtle form of bullying.
