“Dark Horse,” Katy Perry will be making history when she performs at Super Bowl XLIX!
She will be marked in history amongst former performers such as, The Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna.
This past August, The Wall Street Journal released a story stating that the considered artists, Coldplay, Rihanna and Perry would have to pay in order to perform, Performers who hold a slot in the Super Bowl typically have a spike with concert ticket sales soon after. Last years show brought in 111.5 million viewers and all had their eyes on previous performer Bruno Mars.
Perry stated in an interview Saturday, with ESPN’s “College GameDay,” that she is, “not the kind of girl to pay to play the Super Bowl.” Though there is no word if Perry actually paid.
Super Bowl XLIX will be held in Glendale, Arizona on Feb 1, 2015.
