Keke Palmer has moved from television to the big stage as the first African Amerian to play CInderalla in Broadway.
This role has been played once before in the TV Movie Cinderella (1997) starring Brandy Norwood.
Palmer told Vanity Fair’s Hollywood that she, “always had an idea to approach Broadway for an audition.”
She’s been acting for nearly ten years now since her first film Barbershop 2: Back in Business. Since then she has made numerous guest appearances, as well as having a few of her own shows.
Even though Broadway is a much different stage than we are accustomed to seeing the young actress, she went onto express her excitement for it. “Think(ing) about that [audience] gives me energy. Seeing that many people in the audience, who you can’t recognize, that’s what excites you and gets you pumped.”
