This past weekend, 18-year-old Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s little sister turned model, messed up the announcement of Aussie band, 5 Seconds of Summer. After struggling through reading the lines, it appeared that the reality star almost let the name of her ex-boyfriend’s band, One Direction, slip.
Jenner laughed the mishap off onstage, asserting that she’s the “worst reader.” She never actually said the bands name, she proceeded to laugh through her stumbling as the camera pans away. Come on Kendall, you had one job!
Later, on Twitter, the model took to explaining herself, revealing that she forgot to wear her contacts. She tweets, “Anndddd as if I wasn’t nervous already!!!! #NeverLeavinMyContactsAtHomeAgain! #LOL #LessonLearned.” Yet, according to HollywoodLife.com, Jenner allegedly did not attend rehearsal. The model also posted a video on Instagram of brother-in-law Scott Disick poking fun at her failed teleprompter reading, which was later removed.
Late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, calls this flub, …“the second most embarrassing thing a Kardashian has done on camera,” alluding to Kim Kardashian’s 2007 sex tape. However, the teen remains mostly unbothered by the incident, laughing it off as a common mishap.
