Kids deserve to be fashionable and share their own sense of style too. Plae gets it– their latest collaboration series is with Arte Sempre and Oliver Black.

Arte Sempre designed a black and white canvas shoe — that is literally a canvas. The $75 shoes will be available at plea.com on June 2nd, and come with a set or markers so kids can customize and design their own shoes. How cool! Do they come in adult sizes too?

Plae’s founder and chief designer Ryan Ringholz said

“There is this traditional idea of art being admired yet untouchable in the adult world, but when you put it in the hands of kids, they just run with it — literally, in this case [.] Creating a shoe that kids can view as both fun and functional allows for the art of play to take place through the eyes of a child.”

Ringholz is all about the creative expression of kids and believes it is essential for their growth and development.

The second collaboration is with Oliver Black, but won’t be released until 2016. Black will be with the brand at the X Games in Austin, Texas. He will be demonstrating live art work on a shipping container and be encouraging kids to join.

Plea is a baby of brand that launched in 2013, and has received $10.8 million in investment funding thus far. It will be interesting to see this brand evolve with the youth today.
