Kim Kardashian and Kanye West celebrated baby North’s first birthday in a big way. Their baby girl’s actual birthday was on Father’s Day, June 15, but Kim posted a picture explaining how North spent the day cuddled up next to Kanye while watching the World Cup game. As a result, Kim and Kanye planned the bash for almost a week later, June 21, and they didn’t hold anything back.
It doesn’t come as a huge surprise that Kim and Kanye did more than just tag a theme onto the day. There wasn’t anything North didn’t have; she was in a “Kidchella” wonderland, as they called it. Guardian Liberty Voice reported that the celebration was mirrored after the festival “Coachella,” and the party had everything from a Ferris wheel to face painting and a bounce house. The whole festivity was set up right in their back yard with picnic tables for guests to enjoy the festival food, which included churros, lemonade, snow-cones and much more, according to ABC News.
The party may have been private, but fans weren’t left totally out of the loop on the day’s happenings. Kris Jenner posted on Instagram the day of the family’s celebration, according to People. She showed pictures of the party set up and a video of Kendall performing a Rihanna song on stage with Kylie. Kris wasn’t the only one showing off the party’s good vibes; all the Kardashians used the social media outlet to display their excitement.
“Kim was holding North a lot of the time, and the party seemed to be geared towards the kids who were a little bit older. But it was a family party for all ages. There was so much to do,” a source told US Weekly.
