Kimora Lee Simmons launched her new ready-to-wear line, KLS, on December 12th. “It’s different for me. It’s, like, grown up… there’s a subtlety to the sexiness. It’s not overt,” Simmons told WWD.

The line, which carries everything from zippered leather leggings to a cobalt blue jumpsuit dress, is streamlined and sophisticated with a touch of sensuality—a true womenswear trifecta.

Prices range from $500 to $2,400, Simmons has already made plans to construct KLS’ first retail store in Beverly Hills. Of the line’s great distinction from Simmons’ past brands such as Baby Phat and Kouture by Kimmora, Simmons says: “I guess you would call it putting out a new image, but I think it’s more of an evolution… I’m not the same woman now. KLS isn’t catering to a teenage audience or a young party girl. I’m a serious businesswoman,” she told WWD.
