Congrats to Lady Gaga, 28 and long time boyfriend Taylor Kenney, 33 who held a private “commitment ceremony” this week. There wasn’t a ring or a big elaborate cake, but for all we know the couple could’ve privately-wed ages ago. Gaga is known for keeping her love life especially private. Since the Applause singer and Chicago Fire actor began dating in 2011 they have been inseparable.
In a related story Sophia Bush created an Instagram frenzy (last month) when she posted a picture of Kenney wearing a ring, eluding that this could have possibly been a wedding ring. The star has not been spotted wearing anything resembling a traditional engagement ring since.
Last year when speaking with Howard Stern Lady Gaga lovingly spoke about her longtime boyfriend “the connection that I feel is so strong that it’s so much stronger than physical. We’re both very protective of our lives. We treat each other with a lot of care and were good to one another.”
The couples ceremony was held at Tratorria Joan in Manhattan, Gaga’s family’s restaurant. In attendance were close friends and loved ones. Kennedy’s mother, Pam, and one of his brothers.
An insider told the Daily Star, “it was just for her family and a few close art and design friends.”
Plans to officially tie the knot are set for sometime next year.
