The film, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, that released in 2003 had most literary fans excited. The film revolved around an adventure with characters like Captain Nemo, Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Mina Harker and Alan Quatermain, and is now set to get a reboot.

The film will be based on the novel, also called, ‘The League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen.’ The comic books are written by Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill, which were published in 1999.

The last time around, the film only made $180 million at the box-office worldwide. Even though the film was planned to be a franchise, the discouraging revenue did not permit the movie to go further. Also, this film was Connery’s last proper action film. Therefore, any sequels would lack the film’s previous A-listers.

The producers are still in the process of casting, but hopefully the film will be much more successful with the reboot.
