Unidentified persons shot at rapper Lil Wayne’s bus while he was on tour near Atlanta. Lil Wayne had just performed at Compound nightclub in Atlanta on Sunday, April 26. Hours after the incident occurred on the highway. The rapper and other bus patrons were left unharmed, as reported by police.
E! News spokesperson heard from the Cobb County Police that, “Lil Wayne’s tour buses were coming from Atlanta to Cobb County last night. There were shots fired at the buses at about 3.14am. The shooting happened on I-285 near I-75 in Cobb County. There were at least a dozen people on both buses. No one was injured.”
Police have yet to find any suspects. The only information they have on the shooters is that they were driving two white vehicles. One possibly a corvette-style car and the other an SUV.
NBC’s 11Alive TV reported seeing Wayne and his crew exit the bus, which became a crime scene with tape surrounding it.
A video taken by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows some men, one possibly Lil Wayne, in sunglasses and gray hoodies with red backpacks, walk out of the bus pulling the tape over them to get through.
