“I like the idea of lipsticks named after boys… Why commit to one when you can have several?,” says fashion designer, and face behind his eponymous beauty collection, Tom Ford. This idea is exactly the premise behind Ford’s latest, fifty-shade lipstick collection, entitled Lips & Boys.
Smaller both in size and price ($32 compared to the $50 price tag of a full-size tube), these lipsticks were designed to effortlessly slide into even the dinkiest of clutch bags. “People carry teeny-tiny little bags today, and are trying to fit their iPhone, money and a key. I think the idea of a small bag is modern, and you need to be able to fit a lipstick into that small space,” Ford told WWD. Also, each shade is named after a man in Ford’s own life–from friends to his young son, Jack (who gets his own bright fuchsia shade).

The fifty-piece collection features thirty-six brand new shades, even a pure metallic silver color called Kyril. Other notable shades include Wes, a seductively deep plum, Rafael, a fiery coral, and Alexander, a delicately feminine lavender.

Though the collection launches on the Tom Ford website on November 28th, it will only be available there for four days. After that, these miniature luxuries will only be available for eight weeks in stores—starting the day after Christmas. So if you know someone who would love a tiny Tom Ford lipstick, better act sooner rather than later—we have a feeling these won’t last long.
