Dina Lohan, mom of 27-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan, was sentenced to a DUI after driving while drunk in Long Island last September. The woman was pulled over for driving 22 mph over the legal speed limit on the Northern State Parkway, and upon being breathalyzed, blew .20 BAC.
Included in her sentence was a $3000 fine, 100 hours of community service, a mandatory drunk-driving and victims impact program, and a suspended license for one year. She will have to use an interlock device that will only start the car if she’s sober. The star’s mother somehow avoided jail time and even probation.

Her lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, released a statement to ABC News on the issue which reads: “In spite of the fact that the District Court of Nassau County dispenses the sternest DWI Sentences in America, which traditionally provides for a period of incarceration and three years of Probation, Dina Lohan’s Sentence did not provide for any period of incarceration or Probation, in light if Dina Lohan’s exemplary record with no prior arrest history and in deference to the Nassau County Screening Evaluation of Ms. Lohan which concluded that she has no alcohol or substance abuse issues.”
Lohan’s lawyer reiterates that she is “happy to put this unfortunate event behind her.” Will the Lohans stay out of the news or do you think they’ll be up to no good in no time?
