Clothing store, Long Tall Sally, and shoe brand, Barefoot Tess, have joined forces to expand their outreach and their sizes.
Long Tall Sally originally only sold clothing that was intended for women who are taller than the average clothes sizes are accommodating for. While Barefoot Tess’s motto is, “Because style doesn’t stop at size 10”. This refers to the difficulty individuals with a shoe size larger than ten seem to experience when looking for footwear.
The owner of Barefoot Tess, Karen Williamson, released a letter to their customers saying, “Barefoot Tess has teamed up with Long Tall Sally – the world’s premier fashion destination for tall women. Together we are your ultimate one-stop shopping destination!”
The reason behind the merger is that both companies are geared towards women who are tall and unable to find sizes for them that are also stylish. This way, women are now able to get all of their clothing needs in one spot.
Long Tall Sally sells all types of clothes for women, but they specifically focus on women’s jeans and pants, with sizes ranging from 4 to 20.
Some of the brands that Barefoot Tess provides are Jeffrey Campbell, Nine West and Dolce Vita, all in sizes ranging from 10-15. These are already available on Longtallsally.com.
The website now says, “The world’s premier tall fashion and footwear destination.” Under the store section users can find a variety of types of footwear and designers. This merger can only mean good things for women who struggle with their height while being fashionable.
Long Tall Sally also has stores located in Canada, a few in the United States, and in the United Kingdom, and now with the addition of their shoe line, footwear is predicted to make up 25% of their sales, a 10% increase from when Long Tall Sally sold just their shoes.
