Academy Award winning actress, film and music video director Lupita Nyong’o appears on the children’s show Sesame Street. Nyong’o and our favorite little red monster Elmo talk about skin. Their conversation starts by thanking their skin for protecting them and for being ticklish. Then Elmo comments on her “beautiful brown skin,” and they both agree that it’s a good thing skin comes in all different shades and colors- messages we should be sharing with our children.
