Rumors have surfaced that New York-based brand; Proenza Schouler is in the talks with LVMH to acquire a stake in the brand.
Although details from the deal have not yet come to light, the discussion is said to include a 40 percent stake in the brand, which was established in 2002 by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Delphine Arnault, the daughter of LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, publicly showed interest in the brand last year saying, “I love what they do. They have an amazing talent – just look at the fabrics. We’ve been following their work for a while,” reports WWD.
The rumored acquisition would be the latest in a line of high-profile investments by the luxury powerhouse over the last year. The latest investments have included Nicholas Kirkwood, JW Anderson and Giuseppe Zanotti.
