Kerry Washington’s latest Scandal: She’s being replaced by Meagan Good.
Of course, this was found to be false soon after its release on the satire website Cream BMP Daily.
The false article begins with a quote from head writer and creator of Scandal, Shonda Rhimes saying, “let’s be honest $300,000 per episode is not like we were putting her in the poor house.”
It’s almost impressive how easily people were fooled by the article, as it gives more quotes from Rhimes openly talking about the sex-appeal that the show needs, and will receive from Good joining the show.
Anyone who’s a fan of the show can tell you that one of the appeals to the show is that Washington is a tough woman who works for what she wants, instead of a show based solely on the fact that she needs a man.
According to the show’s season 3 finale “per final data, the episode ticked up to a series-best 10.6 million viewers. The article claimed that, “fans of the show are already speaking out on social media and promising to not support the show anymore, but will instead give ratings to horrible rival (shows).” At least the first half of that was true.
