Do you want to take your own car, car pool, or take public transportation? In order to get the most out of your commute, first you need to figure out what’s right for you. If there are no easy public transportation options available, driving yourself might be the best option, and by driving yourself, your commute will tend to be quicker. If, however, you take public transportation or car pool, you may be able to get some work done during the commute. Public transportation is also more economical and environmentally friendly.

According to the American Public Transportation Association, “Households that use public transportation save an average of more than $8,000 every year,” and “If an individual switches from driving a 20-mile round- trip commute to using public transportation, his or her annual CO2 emissions will decrease by 4,800 pounds per year.”
