Warner Brothers is at it again! Since the recent success with The Suicide Squad, they are in full swing to develop Man of Steel 2 on the big screen.

Man of Steel was released in 2013, with Zack Snyder as the film’s director and Christopher Nolan as it’s producer. The film earned over $668 million dollars in box office revenue and helped launch a new revival for the DC Universe film franchise. Summer 2016, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, might have earned bad reviews/criticism from filmgoers, but the film earned over $872 million dollars worldwide.

Warner Brothers has kept the news to a possible Man of Steel sequel since the release of Batman vs. Superman. Although, due to the large fandom for the legendary DC comic character, they have announced Man of Steel 2 is one of the studio’s most important projects.

The Studio, who is very booked this year with DC universe films, is trying to compete with the Marvel film franchise with its new releases of Justice League themed films. In 2017, Warner Brother’s plans to release Wonder Woman and Justice League part 1 films. From then on there are plans to release The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg films in the next couple of years.

Due to Warner Brother’s quick development and production durations for their new superhero movies, film critics are claiming the studio’s films are lacking emotional depth. Many critics have commented that the Warner Brother’s DC Universe films lack the ability to stand the test of time or to gain significance in film history. Younger viewers, on the other hand, rave about the upcoming films and the recent release of The Suicide Squad, which also gained bad criticism.

Henry Cavill is expected to be a part of the new Man of Steel sequel. Right now Cavill is signed to be a part of the 2017 Justice League part 1 film. The Justice League film is also expecting Ben Affleck to play Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ezra Miller as the Flash.
