If you were a fan of the recently released movie “Maze Runner”, then you’ll be happy to know that it’ll be having a sequel which is slated for next year. The movie will be titled “Scorch Trials” after the second book in the YA adapted series by James Dashner.
The movie’s success is responsible for the announcement of the sequel; as it was first at the box office this weekend by grossing $32.5 million. It beat competitors “A Walk Among the Tombstones” and “This is Where I Leave You.” This is the first YA movie franchise that has done well since “The Hunger Games” and “The Fault in Our Stars”. It seems that teens are more inclined to watching dystopian films then supernatural ones; which used to be the trend.
