At Comic Con in San Diego, Megan Fox bared her stomach in a David Koma leather sleeveless crop. Just five short months ago, that slim stomach was home to her second son.
How did she lose the weight so quickly?
Fox credits the speedy weight loss to a low-carbohydrate, low-sugar, high protein diet. As she says, “It’s kind of awful.”
“I’ve had to eliminate bread,” she confesses.
The star told E! “Let me tell you: the first time I didn’t do anything. I was just lucky, and I was younger. The second time it wasn’t coming off the same way.”
In 2012, Fox lost the post-baby weight after giving birth to her first son. She credited that 23 pound weight loss to following a Paleo Diet.
The Paleo Diet has gained popularity in recent years with celebrities and fitness enthusiasts. The premise of the diet is to eat mainly lean meats, fish, healthy fats, and unlimited vegetables. Many people opt for this diet, because there is no extremeness to it. There is no calorie restriction, and helps to prevent diseases like cancer and diabetes. What the diet does restrict, is: gluten, sugar, dairy, starches, alcohol, and processed foods.
Although many moms are eager to get back to their pre-baby weight immediately after giving birth to their child, do not stress yourself out about your weight! Give your body the time it needs to recover and it will happen in time. Do not focus on the goal of weight loss, but maintaining optimal health for you and your family.
