Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, 24, has landed the cover of Interview magazine for their Aug. 2014 issue. The starlet exhibits her graceful beauty on the magazine cover, which is set to hit newsstands on Jul. 15.

Mia’s photo-shoot was shot by Craig McDean who also shot her for AnOtherMagazine’s cover for their Spring 2014 issue. Interview magazine’s cover and cover story was styled by Karl Templer. The actress is best known for her role in Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” film from 2010.

Mia looks elegant on the cover as she is placed behind an orange backdrop, sporting a black sleeveless coat with white buttons by Celine. She stretches an elastic band in the cover as she gazes at the camera.

In the magazine, Mia opened up about some personal topics to interviewer Glenn Close. On being shy as a child she said, “I think I have a reputation for being quite shy, but I don’t think I’m too shy. I was probably reserved, but I would go between being really hyperactive and then very quiet. So I don’t really know what I was like. I guess I lived in a bit of a fantasy space in my mind.”

She even discussed her decision not to attend college. “I was like, ‘Oh, I need to go to university,’ because I need the consistency of one place and people and friends and things like that. But I think home has kind of replaced that. Having an apartment now, in Sydney, has helped. But I’ll probably end up being the pregnant 30-year-old in the back of the class at university one day.” Mia explained.

When asked about her experience taking on the hectic lifestyle of an actress Mia stated, “I never felt like I lived in L.A. or New York or America. I’ve just been in transit for the last five years.” Yet, the young star certainly appreciates her fame. She reminisced on her early fears when entering the business to Close. “I was almost embarrassed by wanting to be an actor, because it seems such an unattainable thing,” she revealed. Adding, “My mom remembers a period when I locked myself in my room and did research and made phone calls and wrote letters to try to get an agent.”

For Mia’s future work, she will next appear  in “Tracks,” a drama co-starring “Girls” actor Adam Driver. The flick was filmed in her native country Australia.
