Miami: the city best known for its beautiful beaches, beautiful weather and beautiful residents. With agreeable weather practically year-round, beachwear is a huge part of Miami style.

The Mercedes Benz Swim Fashion Week celebrated its tenth anniversary in Miami from July 17-21.

Shows included: Clover Canyon, Wildfox Swim, L’Space, and many more.

Bathing suits are no longer just swim separates in solid colors. Designers are experimenting with unique cuts, different prints, and bold color. Also, the latest trends can be incorporated into beachwear as well. If you’re daring enough to rock fringe on the beach, whose stopping you?

Featured in the Indah collection, was a metallic gold long sleeve crop top with long black fringe draped from the top.

Although avant garde, many of the looks featured in various collections seemed too far-stretched, making them almost unwearable for the beach, or public for that matter. When it comes to beachwear, most women try to avoid nip slips, not risk it. Remember, waves are not always your friend.

The collection that seemed to feature the most unwearable pieces was the collaboration between Beach Bunny and the Blonds. Silver, flashy, fringe and diamonds.
