When you have designer Tom Ford as a buddy, you get to casually peruse his runway creations like a lazy Sunday of shopping at H&M. However, the stakes are always higher when you’re dressing for the amfAR gala: the (brimming-with-celebrities) auction that benefits AIDS research.
So when both Rihanna and Miley Cyrus (neither is all that shy when it comes to revealing fashion: see the dress made of nothing but crystals and a nude, itty-bitty bra-and-bottoms duo, respectively) arrived in cleavage-bearing Tom Ford creations, everyone’s eyes perked up.
In one corner is Cyrus, rocking a sheer, black (dare we say bondage-inspired?) body suit—which she rocked with smoky gray eye shadow and a medley of silver earrings.
In another corner stands the statuesque Rihanna, who chose a flowing white gown with a super sheer top (a cluster of amethyst crystals covering her up). RiRi styled it quite similar to the way it was seen on the runway—her only difference being her sleek, side-parted hair and bold, orange pout.
So, I ask you, who won the battle for best Tom Ford getup? Or, were they both a little too revealing?
