On Sunday, May 18, model Poppy Delevingne posted a photo to Instagram featuring a simple black crucifix tattoo with the date of her May, 2014 wedding underneath to celebrate the special day. “Mini moon ripped jeans & a new tat @cook_james #DreamiestDay” reads the bride’s caption. Her groom, James Cook, allegedly has matching ink.
The wedding took place on May 16 at St. Paul’s Church in Kightsbridge. Delevingne wore a custom Chanel gown. Poppy’s sister, Cara, was the maid-of-honor amongst 17 bridesmaids. The couple planned a trip to Marrakech, Morocco for their honeymoon.
Poppy isn’t the only one in the Delevingne clan that has the ink bug. Model sister, Cara, sported a brand new neck tattoo at Poppy’s wedding. She also recently unveiled a diamond on her right ear, a lion on her finger, her initials on the side of her hand, the roman numeral number 12 placed below her breast and the quote “Don’t worry, be happy” on her ribcage, among a few more.
The Delevingne sisters seem to be going ink crazy! Fans feel that Poppy’s wedding date tattoo is a bit dramatic and daring. They hope the marriage lasts as long as the tattoo!
