My Skin Care Routine with Samantha Martin

Skin and makeup is crucial to a healthy appearance. Women have often wondered how other women achieved their signature looks so they can help shape their own individual style that brings out their best features. But many women don’t know which products in the beauty aisle is worth paying for or if they actually have great results on skin.

Luckily, there are many online bloggers that are willing to share their beauty secrets and experiences. I had a chat with online blogger Samantha Martin from Samicitia.com who shared her own makeup and skin routine to help other women find the best products for their skin.

Skin Profile:

I have oily skin. My skin tone is medium to deep with yellow overtones.

Daily Skin Care Routine:

In the morning, I wash my face with Olay’s Total Effects Citrus Scrub. I squeeze a bit of it on my Clarisonic Mia 2 Brush and scrub my face. This scrub exfoliates my oily skin. After washing my face, I tone my skin with Neutrogena’s Acne Stress Control Toner. As my daytime moisturizer I apply Murad’s Oil Control Mattifer with SPF 15.

Makeup Routine:

I like to wear foundation and concealer that works best on my skin and is hypoallergenic. My favorite foundation is Hourglass’s Immaculate Liquid to Powder Foundation in the shade of warm beige. It’s my favorite of all time! I highly recommend it. It’s mattifying, so I don’t have to apply powder on top. I love the benefits of it being a concealer in the shade #3 as well. For my eyes, I use all the naked palettes from Urban Decay. I often wear lip liner over my lips. My favorite liners are the brown shades from NYX. My favorite shade of all time is Nude Truffle from NYX

Natural remedies:

Witch Hazel is a great natural toner. I love to use clay masks with apple cider vinegar on my face. I usually apply a mask every two weeks.

Makeup Advice:

During the spring and summer months, the weather tends to get warmer. So I advise women to use a drop of magnesia milk as a primer. It might sound strange but a lot of oily skin women like me in the beauty world love this. Its super inexpensive and all you have to do is rub it all over your face before applying your daily moisturizer. It controls oil all day.
