A new trailer was released on Mon., Jul. 7, for David Fincher’s upcoming film “Gone Girl,” an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s 2012 best-selling novel. This trailer reveals much more about the story line than the first one had.
In this trailer, evidence against Nick Dunne, played by Ben Affleck, is shown. The trailer reveals how he becomes the prime suspect of his wife’s murder, Amy, Rosamund Pike, who disappears just before their fifth wedding anniversary without any warning.
In the new posters advertising the film, evidence bags are shown. These clear bags conceivably exhibit the evidence that is found against Nick Dunne. In the trailer, Nick faces severe scrutiny from the police, media, members of his town and even his own lawyer, played by Tyler Perry. Nick’s lawyer says to him about the evidence, “Whatever they found, I think it’s safe to assume that it’s very bad.”
The film has perfected striking advertisements and teasers. The evidence bag posters, which were released over the weekend, have had people buzzing over the film’s potential plot. Entertainment Weekly also produced a stunning cover shot by Fincher himself. All that can be certain about the story, however, is that Affleck does a remarkable job of conveying a possible murderer and Neil Patrick Harris is extremely creepy in this role.
“Gone Girl” also stars Neil Patrick Harris and Casey Wilson. The film features a musical score from Trent Reznor of “Nine Inch Nails.” The thriller is set for release in theaters on Oct. 3.
