Christian Louboutin, once again, never fails to produce a truly elegant high heeled shoe without sacrificing originality.
The Louboutin Spring/Summer 2014 collection strikes a pleasing balance between the wild and tame. Featuring nine evident looks, each with its own personality, Louboutin remains one of the best designers in the world.
The more docile styles in the collection are the nudes, blacks, and metallics, however Louboutin doesn’t exclude a signature punk element that runs through the entire collection. This element makes its mark in the form of sharp studs, a twiggy heel, and a high leather boot with an open toe and back. The gladiator sandal is also widely featured in almost every look.
Turning to the more expressive, we see colors that range from an all-American red, white, and blue, to sea-green and hot pink. No part of Louboutin is too flashy, as even the shoes with the most extravagant colors are balanced out by being less overwhelming in shape.
The bravest part of the entire collection are the Louis Spikes sneakers for women, although Louboutin manages to pull off a risky all-white pastel-studded sneaker just because, well, they’re still really beautiful.
