MTV announced that Nicki Minaj will perform ‘Anaconda’ at the 2014 VMAs.
‘Anaconda’ is a single off of her latest album The Pink Print, and features some of the lyrics from I Like Big Butts, but most of it is Minaj’s rapping.
Minaj has performed two other times at the VMAs, once at the pre-show, and once with Alicia Keys, but this will be her first solo performance, and shouldn’t be missed.
When asked about the performance, Minaj said, “The VMAs is a pretty big deal so people go all out for it. I am very, very excited and looking forward to the performance.”
Some other performances to look forward to are Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Maroon 5, Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Ariana Grande.
The 2014 VMAs premiere Sunday, August 24th, at 9pm EST.
