Probably the most intriguing and fascinating collection of NY fashion week 2014 was the Nicole Miller fall line. Going completely original this season by featuring peacock feathers. She used them in her silhouette blouses, skirts, and a silhouette dress all made up of those feathers. Leather, and fur was used abundantly as well in her fall looks, with colors and prints that seem to be inspired by nature itself. However, once you start using feathers, and not fur it becomes a game changer. Her collection features various leather coats and skirts of color like brown, red, grey and of course black, and with a black leather dress she adds imprinted stitching to the entire dress to make it more unique. She also features various colored prints on blouses skirts and dresses which include brown, red, orange, purple and green. Inspired by animal and nature’s colors and designs, I would have to tip the feather on my hat to Nicole Miller this season, and she might feature that in her next collection as well.
