Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones have joined forces with Nike to collaborate on two soccer-focused collections, just in time for the World Cup in Russia.

Jones’ collection is called “Titled Football Reimagined,” and it drops on June 7. The line includes sportswear pieces that almost seem too nice to play sports in. Jones was inspired by the DIY trend and incorporated the remade look into his work. He added the London punk style of the 70s and 80s to basic staple pieces like athletic shorts and tees. The collection features hoodies, jackets, training shorts, and a pair of Nike x Kim Jones Air Max 360 High sneakers.

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Nike collection is called “Football, Mon Amour.” It drops June 14 and includes checkered prints, soccer jerseys, jackets, tees, gloves, and sneakers. As expected, the graphics on items like jerseys and hoodies are bold and Virgil-like, with white diagonal lines running down long sleeves. Several pieces feature a cursive orange Off-White logo across the chest. Abloh had always been inspired by the way European teams have a sponsor printed on the front of the jersey, so he wanted to incorporate that into his collection. It was his way of celebrating different variants of typography.
These are the perfect collections to represent the world of soccer. With the World Cup coming up soon, there’s nothing better than a sportswear giant like Nike teaming up with streetwear/luxury fashion designers like Jones and Abloh.
