North West Stars in Fendi’s New Fashion Campaign

At 5 years old, North West just starred in her very first fashion campaign.

The daughter of Kim Kardashian West is featured in a digital campaign for Italian luxury brand Fendi, and it’s titled #MeandMyPeekaboo. The campaign honors the 10th anniversary of Fendi’s signature Peekaboo bag.

This is the second installment of the campaign, and this time, it’s focus is on celebrating iconic women who are related.

Shot by photographer Diego Villarreal, #MeandMyPeekaboo shows North West laying in a grassy field next to her mother and her grandmother, Kris Jenner. They all posed for a series of candid family photos in Los Angeles, California.

In an interview for WWD with Fendi’s creative director, Silvia Venturini, she explained why the Kardashians were perfect for this campaign. She offered, “In the case of the Kardashians, they are all very strong women, with strong personalities.” The Kardashian family is undoubtedly iconic, and for this campaign, Fendi was able to introduce a more intimate side of the family, by featuring Kim’s daughter.

Kim Kardashian posted a photo from the campaign to her Instagram account with the caption, “3 generations.”

In addition to the photoshoot, Fendi shared a video that captures Kim and North picking flowers and hanging out by a pool. North is seen carrying her own mini version of the Peekaboo bag.

Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, have shared a bond with Fendi for some time now. For Kim, Fendi represents “a strong and determined woman.” She explains why the Peekaboo bag stands out to her:

“The Peekaboo is timeless because it’s so simple and a classic bag you can wear no matter the occasion or season. That’s why I chose the Peekaboo, because it’s classic but also modern.”

North’s photos were absolutely adorable, but I do think that Kim, Kris, etc. should wait to include her in paid photoshoots until she’s old enough to decide for herself whether or not she wants to be involved in the fashion world.
