There are so many social classes in life, cheerleaders, ban geeks, fraternities and sororities, gees, nerds; the list goes on and on. Though one thing is for sure, everyone tries to fit into one of these classes at one point in their lives. Whether it’s in high school, college or even your business life, fitting in has become a staple in our society.
But what if you dare to be different? What if you are what people like to call an individual? You hate social norms; you don’t want to fit in with the class structures, why, because you are OK with being different. Here are 3 reasons why being different is perfectly OK.
You know what you like
So many people try to like what they think other people like. Say you love Star Wars, but your cheerleading squad demands that you love Glee instead. To fit in, you claim that you now hate Star Wars (even though you don’t) just to fit in. But if you are different and OK with that fact, you like what you like, no matter what other people like.
