BBC America’s hit series ‘Orphan Black’ has been renewed for another season.
The announcement was made by Perry Simon, the BBC America general manager, at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills.
Although the show has gained a lot of popularity, and there should be no question as to whether it would be renewed, the confirmation brings fans much relief.
Season two left fans with even more to unanswered questions as more elements of drama were added to the plot.
Even before the show was confirmed for another season, Tatiana Maslany said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she had already been told about some of what season three would contain, if the show were to get renewed. “I think we are going to have a little chat about what’s coming up and I’m just excited to hear what they have in store.”
The drama series, which started back in 2013, has collected twenty episodes in the past two seasons, and has been signed up for another 10.
The show, although based in the UK, has gained a lot of attention from U.S. viewers who have grown fond of the science fiction show.
The series will return in the spring of 2015.
