Pearl Jam Goes ‘Frozen’

Pearl Jam, notorious for its rock sound, performed “Let It Go” on the European leg of their tour.

Pearl Jam has been touring since 2013 to support their 10th album, “Lighting Bolt.” They have been in and out of the United States since it started, and are coming back in October.

According to a YouTube video of the band playing, which is currently at 700,000 + views, the addition of “Let it Go” was put onto their song “It’s Ok.” Eddie Vedder has two daughters, Harper and Olivia, who are between six and ten years old, the perfect age range for a “Frozen” fan. This might be what inspired the “Frozen” song.

They only sang a few lines, but it was enough to spark a lot of interest, because even six months later, “Frozen” is still a hot topic.

The best part about it was that they took their own spin on it. In Vedder’s signature gravely tone, he belts out the lyrics to the song.

The video-gone-viral can be viewed on Youtube. While it is only 43 seconds long, it’s worth the watch.
