Congratulations to Fendi, who opened their New Bond street maison, earlier on Friday! However, along with this opening, the brand recruited ten lucky women to design their very own Fendi Peekaboo bags! The one-of-a-kind bags will be auctioned off at the end of the month, to help raise and donate funds for the Kids Company – a foundation that offers services to provide emotional and educational support to children who are exposed to violence, drugs, sex and abuse.
The Peekaboo bag was initially designed for the Spring/Summer of 2009 show, but is now available for clients to customize at the New Bond Street location, which includes a made-to-measure salon. To help embody British spirit, Actresses Naomie Harris and Gwyneth Paltrow, singer Adele, artist Tracey Emin, fashion illustrator Tanya Ling, and architect Zaha Hadid, are just a few of the members of the inspirational team, putting a piece of themselves into these stylish bags. Each of these special edition pieces will be released for auctioning on May 30th, at the Fendi Home Website.
