Pitti Uomo, one of the world’s most important weeks for men’s fashion, is currently underway in Florence, Italy. The biannual event is known for popularizing classic, dapper menswear, though this year street styles show that fashion may be loosening up a bit.

Florence’s chilly weather also provided an opportunity for the men to showcase their classic wool coats, patterned sweaters, and tartan scarves. Warm woven sweaters, patchwork coats, and wide-leg pants were also seen on the city streets.

Classic pieces were mixed with streetwear to form more casual looks with otherwise formal attire. Outfits were layered, often with men wearing vests, jackets, scarves and coats. Stylish jackets were sometimes paired with more informal jeans, or tailored pants paired with loose cardigans or jean jackets.

Blanket scarves, striped umbrellas, and fedoras were the accessories of choice in the rainy weather.
