Two of comedies favorite families have crossed over. The Griffin family is stuck in Springfield with none other than the Simpsons.
The nearly five minute clip was debuted at San Diego’s comic con this weekend. It previewed a short snippet from the full episode “The Simpsons Guy,” which is set to air on Fox Sept. 28.
With the Griffins in Springfield, the family will bond with their Simpsons counterparts: Peter with Homer, Marge with Lois, Meg with Lisa, and Stewie with Bart.
It’s difficult to say from the short preview how the one hour episode will turn out. We can only imagine that with both shows equipped with bright and hilarious writers, the one hour special will be filled with inappropriate, yet hilarious, and moderately offensive jokes.
In the clip, Peter and Homer bond over donuts, while Bart teaches Stewie his childish games of prank calling Moe at Moe’s Tavern.
Of course, what would a crossover be without a fight that spans through the town of Springfield?
The friendship between Peter and Homer turns south when the two disagree about their favorite brand of beer.
Tune in to Fox September 28 to see what other antics the two families get into.
