Princess Charlotte’s Christening Photos Revealed

The royal family is looking happier than ever in Princess Charlotte’s christening photographs from July 5. The beautiful photos were taken by the all star royal photographer, Mario Testino.

This photo shows Prince George and his dad, Prince William, in black and white. Little George is wearing an outfit similar to what his dad wore to his younger brother’s (Prince Harry) christening back in the day. Both royals sport a giant smile while dad Will looks down at his adorable son.

Kate Middleton looks absolutely gorgeous in the up-close photo of her holding the star of the day, baby Charlotte. Kate looked fabulous as always, wearing a cream colored outfit, of course paired with a detailed matching hat. Princess Charlotte was in the same beautifully ornate christening gown worn by her big brother, George. It’s no doubt that the new princess will have great taste, just like her mom Kate and grandma Diana!

The pictures depict what a beautiful day it truly was in the usually rainy London setting.

The group family photo includes Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, as well as the Middleton family. Unfortunately, the princess’ uncle Prince Harry was unable to be present at the occasion because he was on a scheduled charity trip to Africa. Princess Charlotte’s five godparents, not depicted, are made of up close friends and family; Hon. Laura Fellowes, Adam Middleton, James Meade, Sophie Carter and Thomas van Staubenzee.

The christening was at St. Mary Magdalene Church, a beautiful 16th-century chapel that the family attends in Sandringham, Norfolk. This was the same church in which Princess Diana was christened in 1961, making it even more special for the royal couple. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who baptized George, also had the honors of baptizing Charlotte. The service was said to have lasted for one hour.

Congratulations to the happy royal family!
